International Record Company

1905 - 1907

Originally Researched and prepared by Guy LaBoissonniere (2014)

International Record Company 10-inch series were issued with identical catalogue numbers (C. #) and duplicated material on these record labels:
Apollo Record; The Boston Symphony Record; The Buckeye; Central Records; The Champion Record; Clear Tone Record; Clico Disc Record; Eagle Records; Excelsior Record; Faultless Concert Record; Generic or unbranded label; International Record; Jackson's Challenge Record; Kalamazoo Record; Lyric Record; Mozart Record; New York Grand Opera Record; The Ormsby Disc; Philharmonic Record; Siegel Cooper Special 10-inch Record; Republic Disc Record; Generic Special 10-inch Record; Square Deal Disc; The Star Record; Symphony Record; Vim Record and possibly other labels.

These records were made available with and without the letter 'X' in front of the catalogue number on the first 10-inch series only.

International Record Company produced a second 10-inch series. The record catalogue numbers (C. #) were issued at 600 and 700, differing from the first 10-inch series. These three digit series were issued on The Nightingale Parlor Grand Record as well as Eagle Records.

International Record Company also produced a 9 3/8-inch record series. The catalogue numbering (C. #) was similar to the first 10-inch block serial numbers but the material was different. The titles and catalogue numbers duplicated Excelsior Records 9 3/8-inch series. Beside Excelsior Records, they were also issued on Mozart Record; The Pike's Talking Machine Record; The Talk-O-Phone Record (not Leeds).

IRC also supplied The National Record and The Silver Star Record discs which drew on the same material as Excelsior (American Record Labels & Co. A. Sutton & K. Nauck). No specifics have been disclosed so far as to their disc size or issued catalogue numbering.

NOTE: This listing is created for research and educational purposes only. I only own a small proportion of the phonograph records listed, and those I own are NOT FOR SALE. I also have no particular insight as to how to acquire them. With the information you have found here, search eBay, gemm.com, or post a question to 78-C. Otherwise, you'll need to spend hours over a period of time searching junk stores, garage sales, record auctions (both mail and internet), and anyplace else that may have 78rpm discs for sale.
